You are meant to do more than just survive, you are meant to thrive.
Transform and Thrive Therapy school based program aims to support students PreK through 12th grade to reach their maximum potential in all areas of their lives.
Transform & Thrive Therapy envisions a future in which all children and adolescents have equitable access to effective mental health services.
The school based program was created to support students and families reduce barriers to learning while improving emotional, mental, and behavioral development of students. Servicing students during the school day allows our therapists time to collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to ensure the best treatment is provided. This program was also created reduce access barriers for underserved populations, including children from low-income households and children of color.
According to the CDC, 1 in 6 children, ages 6-17, experience a mental health disorder each year.
Unfortunately, only 20 percent of those children/adolescents receive care from a mental health provider. Often unseen and untreated, child and adolescent mental health challenges can significantly impact the ability to learn and develop. Research tells us that there is a robust link between students’ mental health and their academic success. School-based mental health services can improve access to care, allow for early identification and treatment of mental health issues, and may be linked to reduced absenteeism and better mental health outcomes.
Transform & Thrive Therapy’s School Based Program supports students in Pre-K through 12th grade to cope with:
Anger
Anxiety
Attention Deficits and Hyperactivity (ADHD)
Childhood Trauma
Defiant and Oppositional Behaviors
Difficulty Adjusting to Stressful Events
Depression
Grief and Loss
Self-Injurious Behavior
Other issues interfering with their success
